Today is the Queen's Birthday and so it is a public holiday here in Queensland. It is my last long weekend for the year for me. I have been catching up with my sleeping hours by adding more hours to it. As everyone is busy with their exams, I have been slacking during the weekend. However, I decided to go to uni today to do some labbing. I do not want to waste my Tuesday as I have heaps of labbing to do! Liza decided to follow me and she studied in the office. Hahah... yes we do take breaks in between, hence, why there is this post! heheh...;p. I have started my geek mode in June. Six months to my confirmation! :S. The aim is to read more journal articles to gain more knowledge background for my project.

Office Lunch

Today me n my friends from office decided to have a lunch where we bring something from home. So Kavitha brought eggplant curry with rice and dhal, Mel cooked potato bake and Lucy brought fancy grape juice as well as mandarins and strawberries! On request, I baked my white choc cheesecake! We invited James to join us as well. :). Everyone thought we are having a party and a feast! The food was really good!!! :) Syukur alhamdullilah...hehe

Labour Day's Long Weekend Part 2

Here is my long overdue part 2. ;p. Anyways, on Sunday, I decided to go out with Nic. We went to hunt down an audio recorder I "need" to get for my future meetings with my supervisors. Heheh... So that, I can have everything prepared for the next one. :). Then we went for a long time desire haircut! So I got it and I love it! :D. I also went to the Budha Festival in Southbank with Nic after that. I got some food! hehehe... ;p

Labour Day's Long Weekend Part 1

Sorrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyy! I have been busy with labbing. Heheh... Syukur alhamdullilah, everything seems to go well. Biasalah ada results are annoyingly frustrating but yeah this is what is research all about. Heheh... :). Anyways, today post will be about what I did during the Long weekend (2/5-4/5). This is just the first part. Kalau inda, I can't post the pics! ;p. On Saturday (2/5/9), I went to Max Brenner again!!! I really love this chocolate cafe. I wish they would open in Brisbane soon... :). I went with Karimah and Liza. We also explored the hotels nearby which were Versace and Sheraton Hotels. We took lots of pics! heheh..;p and here are some of them.

Mid April, Abg Boi, Kaka Huaida and Ahmad Haris came to Brisbane for a holiday. Alhamdullilah, kami dpt jumpa a couple of times. Heheh.. :). It was really good to see them and I finally get to be acquainted with Ahmad Haris. He is soooooooooo adorable! :D Cute berabis! heheh...even Liza is smitten with him! :)

It was the Long weekend for last one. I went to Gold Coast and spent one night there. On Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday night, I went out with Liza and Nic jalan2 and ronda2 Brisbane. As I said earlier, I attended a formal function organised by Ministry of Education, Brunei and Brunei Student Society, Brisbane. The guest of honour was Pg Dato Seri Setia Dr. Hj Mohammad bin Pg Hj Abdul Rahman, the Deputy Minister. They had it at Royal on the Park Hotel. We asked the questions we wanted to ask. heheh...;p. I got to mingle with some of the new students in Brisbane and met some of my friends I have not seen in ages. It was nice. :)

Sometime last week I had lunch with my lab. Terrence was leaving for Sydney. So, we had pizza at Pizza Cafe in uni. :). Anyways, I have not started labbing since I got back from Brunei. I must say this was one of the best trips going back to Brunei. Alhamdullilah, I managed to meet almost everyone -my family, relatives and friends. I wish I had more time to meet more people though..but yes, it is satisfatory :). I attended two weddings, went social gatherings more than I can handle and met up with some people that I have not seen in ages...:)

I am almost done with my packing. I am quite happy to go back and dreading it as well. I have a seminar on 18th and a huge pile of work is waiting for me... hehehe... I don't know when I will be back in Brunei but it will be sometime next year, if not at the end of year... Reason being I want to concentrate on preparing my confirmation interview which will be held insyaAllah on 1 Dec 2009. So need to gather positive results to support my project hypothesis and to show the interview panel that it is a worthwhile project. ;)

It is the 16th today, the day I declare I am married to my pathogen, Haemophilus influenzae!!! Hahah..pasalnya it has to be with me for 3 years!!! oh my gawt!!! :S and I also begin labwork this week with it..so since today is a monday..kira a suitable date? hahaha... nantilah lagi mai continue ceta about my project in the future...

It is already February?! Sighsss... cepat masa berlalu... heheh... well, I have been busy. I went to Kuching on 29th and back in Brunei on the 3rd Feb. I still do not know when I can actually have a proper update as well as uploading my many pics when I was in Kuching. :S.

I started my first lab day today. Well it has been a month I began uni but today is my first day in the lab. I am officially ten days off my crutches, which allows me to move around easier and able to work in the lab. I was dreading that my holiday is going to be over. But, it turns out today was syiuk. I mean I was just doing the basic stuff and taught the new students of what to do. I feel so enthusiastic and happy!!! It has been a while since I feel this way. With everything else, I will always say nada mood. I guess it shows that I really love research! :)

I can't wait to start labwork on my new pathogen: Haemophilus influenzae! This time, my project involved the new pathogen as well as a group of molybdenum enzymes instead of one enzyme as previously in my Honours. I have began locating the genes encoding molybdenum enzymes as well as the regulator in the Haemophilus genomes using bioinformatics tools. Yeah even in science research, we have websites and softwares to make our life easier. heheh... But yeah, I still prefer labbing! But first I need to finish some experiments from my Honours project to provide enough data for a journal. So far, that's the plan for January. Will update after my meeting with my supervisor on Wednesday. Speaking of which, I better stop and sleep... it's late already. I have a few stuff I need to do tomorrow for labbing as well as preparation for my meeting.

As I said earlier, Alicia Keys was awesome! It was so worth it! She sang almost all my favourite songs. I was very ecstatic when she sang the song 'Diary'. It is my absolute favourite. :). I went to the concert with Zana and Asma and Nic. It was too bad that we didn't sit together but we had fun all the same. The only down thing is my camera battery went flat but I managed to get some pics. I also managed to get some videos from Asma's camera. Thanks Asma and Nic for taking them. heheh...:). It has been a long while. I have a few reasons for neglecting my blog. Firstly, I want to say thanks to everyone who messaged/emailed/msned/called to find out how I was. I feel very much better. Thank you for the doa and support. If whenever I feel sad and I really missed her, I will think that she is in a better place and she is in peace. Amin. Also, to cope, I have been MAJORLY distracting myself with stuff that I can do or go… Thanks everyone. I am fine. :) do bi do bi do… So I am making myself busy busy busy doing everything and going everywhere…

Secondly, I am in Brisbane!!! It has been two weeks now. I am continuing my studies for another three years. I officially start today!!! So more posts about my new so-called boyfriend a.k.a my pathogen in the future. I was supposed to leave in October but due to my foot, I have postponed to November. I left Brunei on 14 November. Suzana came with me!!! I am quite thrilled that she is with me. My reign as a queen still goes on. Hahah… indalah. At least berdengan…especially time I found about my auntie. Speaking of my foot, although I am still using crutches, alhamdullilah I can limp/walk with my foot without them. But I only do it at home to get used to it. I will try to walk more before the 10 December.

I have moved out of my old place but at the moment, I am staying at Dibah’s place. I can only move to my new place on the 4th December. I am currently experiencing internet withdrawal syndrome but yes, I am so glad that in uni, I can abuse my unlimited fast download internet!

Oh yes, my camera is rosak!!! I can no longer take pics. I feel so weird not taking pics. I have to abuse my sis’s camera but atu pun inda rasa puas hati. Heheh… I have been trying to browse more cameras but with my foot, it is quite limited. But I have been getting advice from some people on what to buy. J. Instead Suzana got an IPOD touch for herself. Zana terplg ani wah!!! She is quite iski about it. Hehehe… .

I have been doing my errands for this passed weeks especially this week. It has been two weeks plus since I last go out. I will be going out few times this week just to complete my errands. My cast will be off this Saturday! I can't wait! heheh...

I have been printing journal articles for me to read. So far I have printed over 15 articles! I must be bored that I have organised them into three groups and colour coordinated them. The reading part is the hardest part of all. I need to them and take note of them. It is a wonder how I don't fall asleep that easy nowadays. I used to fall asleep when I read journal articles. It is like a drug if I can't sleep at night. Now I guess my tolerance is higher? hahahaha... I also have completed my poster that I need for my symposium. heheh...

MELAMINE INFO - Please read this.

This melamine health problem has been one current issue in Brunei for quite some time now. I decided to read on to see how serious the effects of melamine in the human health. This is what I find out:

WHAT IS MELAMINE?
- a chemical powder that is rich in nitrogen used in melawares, plastics and dishwares.

Melamine cannot be detected as it doesn't have any smell and it looks exactly like millk.

MELAMINE CAUSES

- kidney failure and deaths in cats and dogs as a result of eating pet food containing melamine.

-to form kidney stones blocking the tubes in our kidneys. This causes for a person to experience difficulty in urination as well as pain.

- swelling of kidney as blockage occurs, leading to kidney failure in humans.

SYMPTOMS OF MELAMINE POISONING
-blood in urine
-no or little urine
-signs of kidney infection
- high blood pressure

Although the kidney stones can be removed, it is possible that IRREVERSIBLE damage can occur to the kidneys, causing loss of kidney function such as excretion of waste products in the body and controlling the blood pressure. One treatment for the irreversible damage is kidney dialysis. It is "washing" your blood to get rid of the wastes. The whole process takes 4 hours and it is necessary to dialysis once for every 3 days for the rest of your life.

So please please take this melamine issue seriously. So far, I found an updated list of products with the expiry dates at http://www.moh.gov.bn/download/list-of-confirmed-contaminated-products-20081021a.pdf. I will try to post it from time to time. But you can check at the MOH website itself for any updates.

I am SO craving for this local fruit!!! i.e. TARAP! I only ate once so far. I have been bugging my father to keep on finding the fruit. I always crave for this fruit when ever I come back. Even if it not the season, I will "request" for the fruit. Heheh... Well, my father did manage to find two BUT I couldn't eat them!!!! Why?

Remember, my previous post, I had to go emergency. Well, I had diarrohea on and off for a whole week. The funny thing is I didn't really go out. So I am like trying to figure it out why. Haha, dibah said it was because I was stress... well, it is possible since I had diarrohea when I was heavily stressed with my thesis. Heheh... My stress issues, I am putting them aside as I can't do anything juakan... hehehe... do bi do bi do...;p. So because of that, I had no appetite to eat anything and they went bad!!!!! I was very annoyed!!!! I was very tempted to just eat them! hahaha...

I WANT THIS!!! HAHAHA

So, if anyone ternampak ada org jual tarap, please please let me know. Hmmm, or maybe someone would be sweet enough to buy for me and deliver ke rumah? HAHAHAH....;p

It seems I still have to postpone to a later date! I still have to use a cast for another THREE weeks. I can't move about overly. I can only hop. My bone is healing but it needs to recover 100% as well as my ligaments are affected. :(. Oh well, "someone" used to say to me, "remember that baik buruk datang daripadaNYA". :) So I guess I will embrace it and see how it goes. Furthermore, I believe there is a bright side to it. Like I watch all my shows, just sit down and be like a queen? ahahaha... n spend more time w mumi. :D.

Yes yes, it is postponed! I was suppose to go on the 14th but now, it is postponed to the end of the month. The new date is not fixed yet. Of course, the reason is due to my fractured foot that does not allow me to travel.

Oh yes, apart from fracture, my foot's ligament most likely to be torn... entah ah... That is what according to the doctor two weeks ago. Iatah I hope I hear good news this Monday. I have been resting for the two weeks except for fourth n fifth raya. N maybe tmrw jua..we shall see... my foot has been bothering me quite a bit... Heheh...

I don't really want to talk about my fracture foot! Nanti saja tah... entah ah... it makes me depressed just by thinking about it.. hehehe... anyways, despite my fracture, I have been going out straight! I made the plans before I found out... do bi do bi do...;p. BUT I have been resting whenever I can. :D. On Wednesday, I went out with Maisarah. We went sungkaiing at Fratini's in Sungai Tilong.

On Friday, I sungkai with my frens. It was great to see them. It was just too bad c Sab could not make it. The ones who came were Ewana, Brena, Asni, Hassan, Limin, Din, Norsh n Sab, Ziri, Kim Soon, and Yee Fong. We sungkaiied at Ilotus restaurant. I met some people at the restaurant like Yulia, Atoi, Ashraf and saw Nadeya and BJ. Then some of us went to Coffee Bean at Bandar. It was a night well spent.

Tonight, I went out with my cousins and siblings again. We dined at Seri Patik Restaurant and had a coffee time at Coffee Zone in Kiulap. Another night well spent. Alhamdullilah, although I have my foot problem, I managed to spend time with my family and friends.

After over a month, I just found out that a bone in my foot is fractured! Sighs... the doctor suspected it was maybe after my second fall. Alahaiii.. Now my foot is in a cast with cement!

Last night I went out with my siblings and cousins, sungkai and a movie. It is just too bad Mena n hubby couldn't make it. They just got back from umrah that very day. AND it was good to see Amanina... :D. Miss teasing her and playing with her for the passed week... hehehe...

Anyways, we sungkaiied at Villa Mauri at Jalan Muara. The food was not too bad. It was good. Thanks niq for suggesting the place. :D. The family kept teasing me about my crutches and they even post it up in facebook. ;p. It was good to catch up what's going on and so... hehehe... thanks kaka salwa for the treat!!! :D

Oh n oh I finally got to meet my nephew, Ashraf in person!!! Of course, my niece, Maisarah who has grown up and had no idea who I am. Hahah... but like kaka salwa said, we have chemistry...

We watched 'Mamma Mia' at Kiulap Mall. They all forgotten that the cinema has stairs!!! Hahah.. but yes, I made a headstart so that it will be faster. Haha... thanks kaka zura for the movie!!! :D. The movie was orite...cali but the songs needed to be cut down.. hahaa... but yes, listening to the oldies was nice... hehehe...

Updates about my foot that alhamdullilah, I am getting well. My foot is slowly going back to its original size and I can walk by my own slowly at home. I still need the crutches but so far so good. It has been a month now. It is funny when everyone thought it was a typical sprain. I guess not, right... hehehe... oh well... what to do... I need to my errands soon. hehehe... assalamualaikum... :D

I have been more active this week, alhamdullilah. :D. I got my crutches last Saturday since I can walk quite a bit with my walker. So now instead of having six legs, I am cut down to four. Before that, I was just sitting on one spot if I don't have to go anywhere. My frustration builts up, I am afraid as I was becoming very restless. However, I do try my best not let it get in the way... :D. heheh...

But yes since the crutches, I didn't sit at home. I begin to do my errands slowly and sungkai with my friends. :D. On Sunday, I went out to sungkai at Capers in Kiulap. Some forgot to mention that the escalator is only going up. But yeah, being patient they were, all waited for me to go down slowly. :D. Met Ewana, Brena, Sab, Hassan and Asni.

On Monday, I did some of my errands. In the morning, initially I went out with my dad n bro and then with Idah later on. I went out to sungkai with Azri that day. Yesterday,I sungkai w Idah and she brought me shopping!!! I got to buy my mixer!!! Kan baking c mai sudah... It has been a LONG while... but I need suzana to become my assistant.

Well hope I have a speedy discovery...amin amin amin... :D. 2 more weeks and puasa will be over. Talk about time flies fast. Hope I can finish what I began... anyways, more plans to be made and I already have plans to go out for the next two Saturdays... hehehe... and finish my errands before raya begins... do bi do bi do... so i cn relax as my holiday is going to an end after raya... hehehe... assalamualaikum.

Yes you read it right! I fell down again. This time, when I was exiting the bathroom door. I slipped and fell because my right foot was wet. The mat was not placed properly. Well things happened even though you are extra careful. Few days before that, I went for Chinese massaging, alhamdullilah, I could walk a bit with the help of my walker. The swollen went down tremendously. But after the second fall, it has swollen up a bit. Oh and my back hurts due to the fall... do bi do bi do. Well, the good news is I still can walk better with my walker. So the bright side is still there. :D. InsyaAllah, everything will be fine... amin...:D

Well, I went out for the first time on Aji's birthday. But we requested the help of a wheelchair. We buka puasa at home and gave his cakes. Lepas terawih, we proceeded to the Movies at Gadong. There we met the rest of his guests. We watched the ghost Thai movie consisted of four short stories. It was hilarious. hahaha... ;p. Ceta hantu plg but yeaaaa... Lepas atu, all of us sahur at Rizquin. We were entertained by a gulintangan group. They could play all sorts of songs - Malay, Indon, English songs like Rihanna's "Umbrella". Everyone tried to figure them out as well as sing them.

Well, m going for another foot massage later. I know I have pending outings with family and friends. So I am determine to get well. If I can walk a lot with the walker, I will get myself crutches and go out. hehehe... ;).

This week, my grandaunt passed away. Semoga roh arwah nini Salmah dicucuri rahmat Allah dan ditempatkan dalam golongan orang-orang yang beriman. Amin amin amin. Another sad news is I found out that my granduncle, nini Omar and wife and kid had an accident. They are fine but nini Omar n wife have to be hospitalised. Get well soon. Hope everything will be fine. Amin.

How's puasa so far? I am enjoying mine back at home. I must say there is a huge difference between here and in Brisbane. My foot is still healing. Unfortunately, it is still SWOLLEN. It has been two weeks. Sighs. When I first fell, I nickname my foot as the green Shrek's foot. Well, it has gotten down a bit but I still got the nickname. I have been staying at home since I got back. I can't walk without my walker. Well, it is more like hopping on one leg. heheh... but alhamdullilah, my puasa is good so far...=).

I have not much to say but wanna wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my brother-in-law, Aji. Semoga dipanjangkan umur dan dimurahkan rezeki selalu. Amin. =).

I was in Singapore for a whole week starting on last Friday night. Surprisingly, I didn't take any pictures with my relatives but alhamdullilah, I managed to get to see some of my relatives. The reason for me to blog is I want to say thanks to my family in Singapore for taking care of me and visiting me while I am healing... =)

Oh did I mention I fell down and sprained my ankle badly? Heheh... Well, I am still healing in Brunei. I can't walk without the help of my walker. I am more hopping than walking... The cut is healing just fine... alhamdullilah...

Puasa is around the corner. It has been a long while since I fast in Brunei. Looking forward to it... =). With this...

I just realise today's date is one of the unique dates you don't get any other day. Coincidentally, in this post I have 20 pics to put, summarizing what I have been doing in Brunei. From Brisbane, Kar, Hana, Cyen and Nic sent me off. Few minutes after I reached home in Brunei, Inul surprised me with a cake. Thanks Inul, it was very sweet of u...and of course, not forgetting kaka fids and nadeya. =).

The next day I had a lunch out with frens from Brisbane (then some of f69 were here and Zaim as well as Ziri). I also get to spend time with my darling niece, Amanina. She has been coming to Serusop quite often. And the best thing is she still remembers me!!! hehehe... sukalah saya...=D. I also get to meet some school frens including Brena, Asni, Hassan and Maisarah.

Oh n oh.. my family from Singapore came down to surprise mumi... it was a great surprise from Mena. Heheh... They came down to celebrate Mena's (10th) and Mumi's (11th) birthdays. Also, my cousin's bday whose the same as Mena's. =). We celebrated Mena and Tasya's birthday at home. We had a BBQ and Mena rent a bouncer. All of us were throughly wet and continued on playing at night. Then we waited for midnite to cut mumi's cake. We also celebrated mumi's bday at Seasons.

My family have finally arrived in Brisbane on last Saturday. I wanted to blog earlier but I was either too busy or tired. Heheh... they arrived in the morning but we reached the apartment around 11 ish? hehehe... We just rested for the day pasal semua orang ngalih jua from.

We had a surprise birthday celebration party for Amal whose birthday is today... =). Asma prepared the dishes: fried chicken, garlic rice, baked spaghetti, sambal pusu and sayur campur. Thanx asma!!! She also baked a vanilla cake untuk Amal. Heheh... Thanks to the rest for helping out...=).

We gave Amal a mosturiser lotion [which mai lupa namanya] and rantai. Asma gave her soaps and MAC blusher. Badi gave her a beautiful stationery card set. WL and Wangee sama their lil bro gave flowers. Hehe... We hope u like them mal...=)

Ignoring my previous post of the day, my evening was better =)

This couple of passed weeks, Mai have been going out running errands and dengani orang buat their errands... hehehe...;). I have been going out with Dibah a few times sudah including this afternoon. Syuklah...liat2 rumah and judge the rumah2... hehehe... ada jua yg lawa...;). It was a good past time. =). The distraction I need...thanx dibah for bringing me along. I went out with Azri again, we had lunch arah Westend and ended up lepaking as usual.. ceta2... hehehe... =). Congratzzzz to Azri for obtaining his degree. =D. He is going back for good next week, on Tuesday. =(. But yes, alhamdullilah, after all the hard work, he had obtain his degree.

Speaking of degrees, yes, the official results are out today. I actually know my results a week ago. Yesh, laju jua ah... hehehe... entah kenapa ia...the school emailed us telling us to collect our letter and feedback. However, the official results keluar todaylah. So alhamdullilah, berkat doa everyone, I got a first class honours in my Bachelor of Science majoring in Microbiology. Honestly, this was very unexpected. Heheh.. I was very terharu that I cried as soon as I saw my results... heheh... n straight away I called mumi! hehehe... Iatah mai taruh the acknowledgement as well as additional thanks in my post previously. Once again, thanks...=)

So tonight, as the official results were out, I celebrated with f69 yg berada di Brisbane at Ahmet's. Will celebrate with f69 in Brunei nanti mai balik. Heheh... Thanks gals for a wonderful evening. =).

Life has been rough since 2006. I was still in my denial state. And it got tougher in 2007, I must say. That's life... a slap to my face is what I got. I know I am not making sense but entah ah saja rasa kan pour out di sini. I am proud to say that I have been surviving.

But recent events made me realise that I am still not over it. So not over it. I wish it can be over. Cz I realised in the end, it is me who is the one who feels the hurt and pain. I also realised the confusion has become clear... it made me realise some things... that I am not over it. Empty. Incomplete rasanya...

A new chapter is coming up soon. I will be coming back to Brunei soon. I am just wondering how will it be with major changes that had happened in my life...

Oh well, this is life.. ups and downs... hehe... you win some and you lose some. ;). Whatever it is, look at the bright side. [although until now, I feel there is no bright side to this one particular part of my life...]

Let me see, in most days, I slept and wake up later than usual and I even had naps in the afternoon. Life has been such a bliss, alhamdullilah, ;). Oh and oh...c mai mula baking sudah!!! Ada yg sukses and ada yg fail... pasal salah recipe! hehehe...;p. I can't wait to try more new recipes, I even took out the recipe book Badi gave me as a birthday present... ada 500 cookies kan dicuba... hahaha...

I had lab cleaning on Wednesday with my lab colleagues. We were supposed to do it earlier but mai minta postponed so I can participate as I had my share of mess... hehehe... ngalihlah jua... belum lagi the whole lab baru jua separuh...:S. Heheh... then Ulrike gave us a lunch treat at Hawken Drive arah Fish n Chips as well as minum chocolate...;). It was nice spending time with them during non-labbing times... oh and I brought brownies for them... hehehe...

That night, I went out with Liza ke KFC...u know sejak we know KFC ani halal di Indooroo, we keep going there... but it ain't our fault, kan Liza?! The adverts tu punya pasal!!! Serious!!!! Malar bah they main2 on TV... sapa jua inda craving... hahahah... I also went out with Dibah on Monday and today... kami had lunch and doing errands together... hehehe...

On Thursday, I went out with Azri from lunch til 6! arah city... Hahah... shopping, errands n mcm2lah..hahah..... n after 6 I met up with Hana and Cyen to dine at Hanaichi... heheh... just wish Nora can make it... chaiyooo lai.. good luck for your exams... hugssssss....=).

Today, in the evening, I went out with Fifi as well... hehe.. tak pandai duduk rumah... hahaha... we went on with eating spree and a movie... first we started off with Krispy Kreme and then fries at Nandos lepas tu kita tengok movie, Hulk and then makan lagi at Pancake Manors... hehehe... dah namanya eating spree kan? haha... The Incredible Hulk was not too bad although I think Liv Tyler looks different and the guy, well, hehehe... no comment... hahaha... I can't wait for the Dark Knight aka Batman!!! It is coming out in July!!! Yesh I like Batman and fifi knows the reason why kan kan kan... hahahah...;p.

Apart from that, I am hooked on the drama series Sindarela... mcm I can't wait for the next episode and the after and the after... heheh... n more baking to do... My thesis feedback, I dah dapat and it is oklah... not too bad...markah belum keluar... pasal kena tunggu meeting and approval lagi... aha aha... hahaha

Independence day of honours 12.06.08!!!!

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! I have officially finished my Honours =). Apart from doing final copies of my thesis, which would be given back soon, nada apa2 lagi?!!! hehe... Yeah, in my school we were asked to do corrections yg kena suruh oleh my examiners and hand them in 3 copies to distribute to the sch, my supervisor and c mai! hehehe... but still waiting for the examiners to give back the thesis... hehehe... I am sure and hope that the corrections inda banyak...

My project is about Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a pathogen/bacteria can cause infections in humans. My thesis was about 9450 words which was over. But I had so many results and the text were very condensed sudah. =). So insyaAllah, everything will work out..amin... I had to hand in two books of 3 copies. One book consist of my thesis and one book consist of my appendix... 108 pages in total. :S. I also gave back my four labbooks.... yesh 4 labbooks for 7 months... banyak keja kali ah c mai buat... hehehe...;)

Alhamdullilah my presentation was not too bad tapi the questions payah!!! Heheh... oh well... let's hope for the best... hehehe. Anyways, Ulrike (my supervisor), James and Trevor went to my presentation =) and we went on to celebrate at the Staff Graduate Club. =). We met Eva (an intro to research student this semester), Jason (a postdoc working with Ulrike and other researchers on sugar canes) as well as Jeremy! =). It was great to celebrate with them...thanks guys =) I was really smiling brightly when it was all over...;)

I then went on to meet my f69! Awu sudah sekian lama Mai inda jumpa drg..rindu banget... Fats, Dah and Huda are currently in Brunei doing their rotation. So yg disini were Hana, Kar, Nora and cyen. It happened that c Kar jua habis sudah exam the same day and she went back to Brunei today. So we had dinner at Nandos at the city... and we planned to watch Sex and the City movie! I have already watched this movie twice now! The first one was with Fifi last weekend. =).

Well, I went to Singapore in late March for a week for some personal reasons... Anyways, I managed to meet up with my parents and Suzana as well as my other relatives. Apart from visiting my aunty, I made a list on what to eat and my list became really short. I think I have eaten everything what I want. It was really sweet of my aunties to actually made that happen. Heheheh... =)... thank u...

Salaam.... Yesh I am still here, hehehe... as some of you know, c mai bz doing her thesis. Her 8000 words thesis! hehehe... Oh n oh... we had visitors from Melbourne staying for the weekend at our place. Zehan's friends Lela and Pg Talip had an official visit in one of Melbourne hospitals. So Zehan went to visit them and they came to Brisbane for the weekend. Also, Nahar, a Malaysian friend of theirs, came along. Nahar is quite talented in photography. He took many pictures of Brisbane scenery. Check outlah his blog. c mai ada tue dlm some of his pictures... hehehe...;p. Thanx Nahar!!! =). I only followed them during their last night in Brisbane. We had dinner once again at Little Malaysia... hehehe...

I forgot to post this!!! Heheh... since I have time to waste ;p. heheh...

Two years ago, Khairul and I took a Virology course. In that course, we have to do a bunch of practical reports. Apart from that, we were told to do a minor research project during the practical sessions. And guess what?!!! Our results were published in a journal! I found out from our lecturer recently when I attended his seminar talk. Hehehe.. so I found the paper and I even told Khairul about it. He acknowledged a bunch of us (I think 100 of us) and placed our names along with everyone under supplementary list.

Heheh... n since I just learn how to print screen ;p. I can show u parts of it... hahaha...[Thanx fifi!]

It has been a LOONNGGGG while since I last blogged. So here are my updates!

I finished labwork!!! =) I officially finished lab on 25 April 2008. Everyone asked how I felt. Well to be honest, it was sort of mixed feelings. I was very happy I finished as I had worked few weeks straight with weekends! So I needed a break... But mcm sedih jua as like as it reminded how inexperience I was when I came in the first day. So end of labwork, I had not only gained four thick labbooks. But I also gained the experience of working and labbing. Also understanding better what I have learnt in undergrad. Not forgetting, I made friends with some of the nicest people, not only in lab but also in the entire building. =)

However, that is not the end of my journey of HONOURS. I am in my thesis mode!!! I have to write an 8000 words essay type. This is ONE of my many reasons for not blogging. heheh... It is due at the end of this May.

Anyways, apart from thesis stress, I also have other things in my mind... do bi do bi do... So these couple of weeks, it has been tough. But I was able to destress. I went to Harbourtown with Liza on one weekend (26.4) and I went out with my housemates, Zehan n Liza to Little Malaysia, a restaurant located at Westend last week [01.05]. The food was good... Then we watched a movie, Made of Honour, which made me understand why McDreamy was McDreamy... hehehe... lawalah cetanya...

For another weekend, on a Saturday, Kavitha n her hubby invited me to their place for lunch. Her hubby cooked crab curry, c mai sampai menjilat jari... heheh... N we watched the latest movie of Kajol and Ajay DevGAN.."u me aur hum". For the first half, it was a bit crap then the second half was sad n touching... it is sort of like "a moment to remember" korean movie. hehe...

The same weekend with Harbourtown, I went out w Dah for dinner at 1001 nights. Sunday, I went out with Huda and Asma ke city... n then me n asma watched a movie "Deception" arah indooroo... Two Wednesdays in a row, I had lunch with Azri at the same place and same time... hahaha... ;p n we talked about stuff ... hehehe....

Thanx to all the above, thanx for making the time to go out w me... thanks...=) It was a good break as it distracted me from other things... heheh... oh n thanx zehan n liza for listening me talk abt hw stress I am with my thesis...u guys heard it everyday but yet, u still listen hugssssss...

Yes yes... here it is... heheh... sorry for the late post. It is just that I am into my last weeks of labwork and I finally managed to kill my bf off... ;p. Now where did I stop? Oh yes, I got my new haircut n i still loving it.. heheh... What I was wearing? I wore a black lacy red dress with a black shawl.. I wore a red handbag n red shoes!

The dinner took place at A night in India. I was to come at 7.30 p.m. So I got ready at Kar's n Cyen place. Hahah.. I managed to a nap..[sekian lamanya...] n then I got ready.. Kar helped me with my make up.. She touched me up and she has this great skill with eyes... heheh... I was already ready by 7.15 p.m. [biasalah mesti punctual kali ah...]. So we took pics at their place and slowly walked to the restaurant... awu.. lawa sudah kami but biasalah transport.. haha...

When I arrived there, it happened some of the Bruneian guys were also there! What a coincidence! heheh.. Overall, the dinner was good. Oh n guess what, they didn't allow me to take any photoes... hahaha... mcm lain rasanya mai duduk tengah2 n not taking pics... so effa n amal ambil gmbr w my camera ... n next thing i knw semua tia bawa camera... hahaha.. thanx kamu...=)

Presents!!! I got a handbag n a cardigan from hana, huda n dah. =) Cookies recipe book from Badi =). Asma, Amal n Effa gave me a peachie skirt...=). Faten n Nora gave me tudong scarfs..=). Kar n Cyen gave me a book. entitled : A masterpiece gallery of SIMPSONS! n stationery set of SIMPSONS... Thanx kamu for the lovely presents and thanks for the hair voucher... really like it.. it was a very memorable 9th time 16th birthday.. hahaha...hugsssssss...

To my beloved f69: thanx for taking your time to organise it. I had a great time. Thanx for being there as you know I am going through a lot now... hugssssss...

Yes, it has been a loooooong while since I last blog. As some of you know, I was in Singapore for the last week of March. I had to go back to visit my family for a certain reason... I get to meet my parents and Suzana as well. So it was all good. I have pics of my visit of Spore but will post them. I have my reasons... do bi do bi do...

Last week was my birthday week. Heheh... so my f69 organised everything... it was decided that the celebration will take place on 5 April .... At first, I wanted to post up my celebration and what I did for my birthday. But, I realise I better divide them into two so I can put up more pics... Hahah... eh kan selalu org kata blog c mai tapi nada c mai kan? so nw... this post n the next will featuring ME... ;)

On my bday itself, I spend some of my day labbing w beloved "bf", Pseudomonas ;p. I can't help it... heheh... I had a birthday lunch at Genie's at the IMB building with my office colleagues, Kavitha and Jyothy. =). Kavitha gave me a birthday present which is a wallet... hehehe... Later on, in the late afternoon, I went early from lab and went to Kar's place. At 5, I went to get my free Boost as it was my bday... n then jalan2 arah Toowong Village.

On Saturday (5 aPril), I had to go to lab for a while but my f69 told me to meet them at city at 11. They won't tell me what or why I have to be there. So I met them at Myer Centre and guess what??? They got me a gift voucher for me to do my hair. it was really sweet n nice of them! I get to shampoo, cut and blowdry my hair at PLUSH... I really liked my new haircut... I even have a fringe nw... batah sudah nada ah... hahaha... thanx kamu... at least, I could relax and I don't have to worry about my hair for the dinner party hehehe...

Yesterday was Hana's birthday and the celebration took place tonight at Ahmet's. We all gathered at 7 whereas Hana and Huda as well as Dah came later. Everyone dressed up so beautiful tonite. Faten's cuz, Najihah (hope i get this right) and bf, Faid pun came along. Drg dari Sydney came to visit cousins drg di Brisbane. hehehe...

This week, let me see where should I start... well, as some people know Aimi went back for good this week on Thursday. So we have been spending time w her as much as we can. Today is Shantila aka Dah's birthday. We had a simple birthday celebration as she requested it to be that way. Once again, we have it at Nora's crib. Again, badi could not make it as she had rural. We ordered pizza, treated by Dah..thanks dah...=). The party begins with pressies! First, we gave her the flowers and the collage. And this time, each or a couple of us gave her a pressie. Kar and Aimi gave her a hair clip/sanggul. Hana gave her a handbag whereas Cyen gave her lady briefs. Faten n Nora gave her a very nice wooden frame. Huda gave her a mobile accessory for Dah's new mobile and Mai gave her a black top. The pressies were so nice2..n yes, u deserve it Dah =).

During the party, some of us played Monopoly and some of us watched ceta P.ramlee 'tiga abdul'. C mai watch ceta P.ramlee as it is one of her faves... it is so good to watch these old movies as they really make u laugh. =). Anyways, here are the pics...

F69 decided to celebrate birthday Aimi tonight as a surprise. Aimi made plans with Kar to go New Farm whereas the rest of us made preparations at Nora's place. It was so good... Kar went to lengths to hide the surprise from Aimi... hahah.. So the plan was Aimi came to Nora's place around 8... Only Badi could not make it as she had rural rotation... N we sprang her n surprise her with her bday cake. It was hilarious. She really thought she was going to New Farm. Alhamdullilah, everything went well and it was good food! Aimi was really surprised and we really glad that she was happy with the event and her presents!!! We got her a Guess wallet as well as David Beckham's Intimate perfume. N yes, we made her a scrap book. It was about Brisbane memories and each of us write something in it... Thanks everyone! Melbourne trip: 22/02/08 to 24/02/08

My Melbourne trip was great!!! I really enjoyed it... especially the shopping!!! Heheh... I got a few things that I have been wanting and Fizah also got some stuff she wanted. Heheh... I must say Fizah chose a very good hotel as its location was fantastic. It was near the train station and it was near the City Circle Tram. The City Circle tram was free so we only used the train once. Also, that it was very NEAR to DFO ShoppinG!!! Hahaha... I was alone for nearly the whole day on my first day as Fizah was away at her conference. So, I went shopping and learn about how the transportation work. It was quite easy to learn... Also, alhamdullilah, there were quite a few halal restaurants in the city itself... so it was good... hehe...

Met Fizah in the evening and we continued shopping after dinner. It was soooo good to see her... even though it ws a short trip but at least, dpt berjumpa n catch up ;). The next day, we spent our day shopping! What else... haha... oh n do u know that Melbourne was really windy and cold... I was freezing... Fizah had to lend me her jacket... ish ish... That evening, we met our old friends from primary school. It was very interesting to catch with them and all. Ryan said that the weather was normal with this time around... c mai tak tahan eh... Fizah gave us a dinner treat at a Thai restaurant Sawasdee (correct me, Fizah... haha) Thanks Fizah!!! and then Ryan n Ranald took us to Lygon for some ice cream... Thanks guys!

Last night was fantastic!!!! I really enjoyed myself. Heheh... I relived my teenage years... haha... just too bad Kevin of BSB nada lagi... oh well... what to do... kalau ia ada, it wud even be a better night seeing ia main piano... arah u tube saja lah... hahaha... I left from lab early yesterday and went to Kar's place to get ready. We all met at the train station around 6. Oh and I didn't get to take my camera into the concert with me. I managed to use my camera phone though... hehe... but yeah.. baik jua me inda bwa me camera kalau inda, mai ambik pics saja instead of concentrating on the concert...

Batah sudah inda ke concert mcm tu... i reli love it when they sang their old songs! It was a night well spent despite i sort of lost my voice and tired as I am in uni nw doing lab and my critical review work...

This weekend, it was decided that a bake off should be carried out. Pasal? Everyone of us deserve to destress... hehehe... Each of us have been experiencing stressful weeks. Last night a bunch of us went to Golden Splendour to celebrate Chinese New Year w Chun Yen =). Only Aimi, Badi and Nora could not make it due to other commitments. Most of us try to wear red supaya festive... hehehe... sajaness... As usual, alhamdullilah, it was good food. Heheh... Kami semua catch up about our week n all. Yesterday, we decided to give Huda a belated birthday celebration. All of us except Amal, Badi and Aimi went to food court to have lunch di sana. Let me see, I have been going out since Wednesday night sampai Saturday. Heheheh...Iatah, I called this my destress week...c mai stress wah? do bi do bi do ;p. Anyways, let me begin for Wednesday [09/10/08]. On Wednesday night, I went to Sizzler Toowong with Aimi and Sharimie. They have renovated the place so oklah jua but entah ah somehow I prefer the old one...heheh... The food is quite the same though but yeah sekali sekala makan sana...;)

Thursday night [10/01/08], Mai ajak Aimi, Sharimie, Asma, Badi, Shahri and Azri to watch 27 dresses. Starring Katherine Heigl and James Marsden..sighs...boleh melt eh. I guess lelaki nama James ani handsome2 lah...haha..Kan aimi? ;). I love the movie. It was cali and interesting to see ... [won't spoil it as I heard some premier kena main a week later...hehehe]. Maybe I should listen to Azri's suggestion n get James Marsden's calender...ahaks...haha...

On Friday [11/01/08], mai actually balik awal dari lab. N no one really believed me. Mcm drg terkejut. Coz I went home arnd 1ish or 2...heheh... Pasal mai habis keja sudah... iatah tu balik lagi kul 6. Haha... I asked my supervisor and she said it was ok... so baliklah. Iatah when I called Aimi, ia pun terkejut... heheh...n spontaneously, I decided to cut my hair. Inda plg pendek. I just wanna make it a bit shorter and layer kan balik...heheheh... Maklumlah, rambut cepat panjang... heheh... :). Lepas atu kami browse stuff di city n I bought a new watch!!! So did Aimi... Aimi bought a Fossil watch whereas I bought a Marc Echo. Lawalah jam tangan kami and when we wore it, lagi lawa! Hahaha... bear in mind sale bah..so it was worth it ;p. N i so love it...ahaks...

Almost everyone who I talked to asked me about the weather. Funny isn't it...heheh. Well, yes it is summer but it has been cool windy rainy days right here in Brisbane. I am so glad as inda panas. However, the weather is so so unpredictable. In a day, kejap panas, kejap hujan, kejap panas kejap hujan...hehe...

Yesterday was one example. It was very sunny and next thing I know ada thunder and hujan lebat. Until the park near my place was flooded! Haha.. but we still have water level 6 restriction. Pasalnya, hujan inda turun ke dam...inda mai tau cana drg built the dam...oh well, let's hope it gets better...heheh... I don't think there will be less hujan though pasal hari ni panas berabis!!! Entahlah, like I said it is very unpredictable...

Wow. Tak sangka dah 2008. Happy new year everyone. Hope it will be a better year for all of us... :) Trying to forget what so the very bnyk bad stuff in 2007.. so I welcome new challenges w new situations in 2008... heheh... But I will always remember my good happenings in 2007...hehe...

Anyways, cuti has been ok for me...i went out with Trevor on Friday night (f69: u will not believe what i did! haha), Spring cleaning my room n the apartment. Weekend: Did some work! Oh n I went shopping on Thursday!!! Sale! sale! Haha...bnyk jua me belanja...do bi do bi do... I have a good reason to do so: It has been a LONG while since I last go shopping. hahahaha...

Last night, I called Asma and Badi (Yes she's here jua :D) w her bro to come over to have a simple dinner. They stayed over after midnight. At least, new year inda jua seorg..so glad...hehe... M so happy!!! hehe... I cooked pasta and mash... N yes I baked!!! I baked amos cookies w macadamia and white choc chips! (Note to khy: I tried them and nyaman berabis the combination...heheh...n they loved it jua ;p)

As some of you know, I am on Christmas break since the weekend. My supervisor inda suruh me ke lab...she even told me not to do wrk at home. Instead she told me to have fun!!! Sporting kan her...hehe... Anyways, let me see, despite that, I did some work, I can't help it! Catch up with some stuff...hehe...

Oh n Asma's here. So she slept over masa the weeknd. I didn't do anything much during Christmas...hehe..malas bah..so I just duduk rumah n watch ceta Korea. :). Hehe... But today, Boxing Day, at first, I wanted to go shopping as they are slashing the prices. But then, inda tia jadi. Instead, I planned to watch a movie arah Southbank with Asma. P.S. I love you. The movie has its moments. It made you laugh at times and there are times that u felt touched...hehe...so overall, i like the movie...hehe...:).
